“So how’d you two meet?”
I ask my couples this question quite oftenly. You know – ask a ice breaker, and also because I’m always into the story behind, and it is fascinating how ‘fate’ seems to be a real thing sometimes.
– “Well he’s in the same class with me”
– “She’s in the same company with me, different story though, we met in a year end gala”
– “I saw her while shopping for antiques in a market”
– “We meet in UK where he was working and I was there for my degree”
– “We know each other from Tinder, and luckily things go smoothly since”
I haven’t heard any story as good as how Ted meet Tracy from How I Met Your Mother (my favourite show btw). But no matter how they bumped into each other, I always feel lucky to witness their love. Sometimes funny, not necessarily crazy, but always truly.
I follow Phuong and Dejan from their Vietnamese tradditional tea ceremony in Saigon, to this gorgeous wedding ceremony in Salinda Resort, Phu Quoc, Vietnam. Phuong told me they met online, and though they do not have such common grounds like their expertises, their height – which they both enjoy, or their culture background. Nevertheless, their big day had everything that soulmates could every asked for: smiles, laughters, close friends and family from both sides, tear of joys and reassuring handshakes. This beautiful beach wedding was surely filled with love, wind and sunlight.
And again, the prologue sure is a story, but how life goes on with a new person in your life is what is more important. To be honest, I enjoyed knowing Ted’s story throughout years, but Tracy and their beautiful moments together afterwards is what I always root for.
