Son + Chau’s Catholic Wedding | Saigon, Vietnam
Posted on 21 March, 2019
Son & Chau wedding day contains two parts. Their church ceremony was held in the morning, and reception followed that evening.
As a fellow Christian and a husband who married in a church, I always feel lucky because my job allows me to attend many weddings blessed with God’s love. You might know that I loveeeee wedding vows, but this is the one vow that is so special to me, cause though it’s short, but that’s what all about love:
“I, (Name), take you, (Name), to be my wife/husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God’s holy law, in the presence of God I make this vow.”
Ever think how brave you have to be to be able to say these words from deep down of your heart?
Son & Chau knows each other as colleagues at first. They gradually became drinking buddies, and through time, stories from work became more personal, and tears and sobbing sounds slowly appeared more and more in their nights, alongside with all the beers and shots. “Son was a good listener, and I felt thankful for him for that reason. I felt like I could trust him more and more everyday.”
As time goes by, these two drinking buddies decide to tie the knot under God’s witness. And seems like Son will have to listen to Chau for quite a long time from that day on.
